- PLEASE return the Lowell Observatory field trip (Jan. 12) permission slip as soon as possible. If you're a parent and you would like to accompany us on this field trip, please write me a note on the slip (include a phone number or email) or send me an email. We should have plenty of room.
- We (as in Coe's, Kasch's and Novak's classes) will be going to the Arizona Snowbowl to learn to ski on Jan. 25!
- We need 10-15 parent volunteers who are able to ski to stay with small groups of students on the slopes after lunch. You will receive a free day-pass to the Snowbowl for accompanying us, and you should have plenty of time to ski on your own, both in the morning and afternoon, before and after our lunchtime session on the slopes. Email me if you or a family member would like to ski with us! Keep in mind: if you plan to ski in the afternoon, you will probably want to drive your own car. We will probably need to depart Snowbowl by about 2:30 to get back to the school in time for dismissal and parent-pickup.
- We also need 3-5 parent volunteers to be lodge-supervisors to watch our backpacks and stuff while we're out learning to ski and shredding the slopes. After lessons and lunchtime, lodge-supervisors will need to be ready to sit those who are done skiing for the day. Once again, email me if you're interested in being in the lodge on our ski-trip.
