Elden Pueblo fieldtrip TOMORROW!

Hello parents,

We're excited to embark on our first fieldtrip of the school year tomorrow, Thursday, October 3, 2019!  We have been studying ancient indigenous and modern native people for a while now in our social studies class and this trip will surely help us better understand who some of them were and how they lived.

We will depart campus by bus at about 9:00 in the morning tomorrow and return around 2:00.  If you intend to accompany us, you can elect to ride the bus with us in the morning or transport yourself by car to the Pueblo (located one mile north of the Flagstaff Mall on the west side of U.S. Highway 89 North, just south of its junction with Townsend-Winona Road. A sign for “Elden Pueblo Ruins” leads into the parking lot). If you drive, please be aware, you will not be permitted to transport your fifth-grade child to or from the Pueblo unless you have completed a Parent Transport form in the school office prior to the fieldtrip.

In order to be ideally prepared for this all-outdoor excursion, please be sure your child arrives at school tomorrow with the following:
  • Water
  • Sunscreen
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Lunch
  • Long pants
  • Lightweight jacket or sweatshirt/hoodie
Optional items are also encouraged:
  • Hat/visor
  • Gloves
